Principal Irene Sanchez Of PS 15 - White Teachers Need Not Apply
It appears that a Principal in Community District 1 sent out a help want-ad on Indeed.com that asked that only minority teachers need to apply for vacancies in the District.
The Principal, Irene Sanchez of PS 15, sent this racially targeted want ad and this was an apparent violation of the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, it is “illegal for an employer to publish a job advertisement that shows a preference for or discourages someone from applying for a job” due to race, color, religion, sex or other characteristics".
The DOE had the Principal remove the help waned-ad the next day when the New York Post was given the offending want-ad.
Since the apparent racially targeted want-ad by the Principal was removed under DOE pressure, what penalty will the DOE impose on Principal Irene Sanchez? If she was a teacher, I have no doubt she would be subject to 3020-a charges and probably be fired. However, my guess is that the Principal will simply get a reprimand, if that.
I will be very interested to see who Principal Irene Sanchez of PS 15 hires for the next school year. If no White teachers are hired then the UFT should use their resources and force the DOE to take corrective actions against the Principal.

Any white teachers who are currently working at that school better watch their collective asses. They have a big fat reverse racist target on them drawn by this clown of a principal. Just when you think the DOE can't sink any lower, now this!
Given that the vast majority of teachers are white, this may be the beginning of a great purge across the system. Of course, in this day and age nobody in their right mind of any skin color should even consider pursuing a career with the DOE.
I consider it a great service to my fellow citizens when I can talk someone out of going into teaching. I have advised many dear friends - of all ethnic backgrounds - not to work for the DOE if their lives depended on it. After sharing horror stories of what happens in this monstrosity of a system, all have heeded my advice, and each time I think of all the misery and suffering I saved each of those people. I feel like I'm God saving a soul, one person at a time.
There is no such thing as reverse racism. There is just plain racism
Guilty of Being White-MINOR THREAT
The problem recognized is that there has never been a pool of qualified non Caucasian teachers who could speak and use the English language effectively. Or pass the professional exams for teaching. That's the fact Jack.
Carranza is a Racist.
My POS AP is Irish white ,catholic, and female. And she targets veteran white male teachers. I relish the confusion and uncertainty she must feel now.
This is life in America and the world. There will always be an underclass and criminals. This is no way to care for the fatherless children.
Everything that is happening in the DOE is meant to keep "minorities" uneducated and dependent on the government; city, state and Federal. People who are uneducated and dependent are easy to indoctrinate and manipulate.
Considering only 15% percent of the students are white, the most damage is being done to Asian, black, hispanic, and multi-racial students.
The people in leadership positions, of all races and cultures, are only in the DOE for themselves. They do not care about schools, teachers, or children. They may or may not realize, and with certainty do not care, that they are being used and manipulated by people who are a lot smarter, corrupt, immoral, wealthy and more self serving than themselves.
I do not have much respect for principals and their limited intellect, but I do expect more from the Superintendents and the Chancellor. Alas, they too are willing marionettes for some bigger agenda that will outlast my tenure as a teacher.
Many people like this principal and others who land in positions of leadership find that they really cannot handle the position due to their lack of leadership skills, english language skills as many grew up outside the country. So, they are really just polishing their heads for their huge egos of wow once i was living in a tent and now i am in america the land of white people....
Welcome to our future, fellow white Americans. As we are forcibly made minorities in our countries, not by armed invasion, not by superior cultures displacing us, but by our own Leftists and their 'multi-cultural dream and our business class wanting cheaper and cheaper workers, we will see more and more of this.
Anti-white policies have been there for some time like affirmative action in jobs, education, etc, but now it is more blatant and they don't try to hide it. What do you think all the anti-white propaganda is for? "Oh, whites are evil and racist from birth!" "Privileged, Gentrifiers, oppressors!"
When a population is dehumanized (like the Jews of the 1930s) then you can get society to hate on them and ultimately eliminate them. Half our young have already been brainwashed into hating themselves. With mass immigration, we will be the new jews in 30 years.
Many white people have always feared that if minorities ever came to power they would treat whites the same way whites treated them...karma is a bitch.
White people treated blacks with respect and gave them every opportunity in the world to compete. Look at where blacks are today. How could they be there if it were not for the white man giving them their privileges.
So now today its the muslims who appear to be the blacks from 50 years ago in America. Funny thing though all these races always have to come to the white population to gain because they could not do it on their own.
Does she like older teachers?
10:59 You are racist and ignorant if you think that by sticking it to white teachers you are actually helping black teachers. In fact if you really looked at the "big picture" you would realize that if the system completely disintegrates ( because the best available teachers were passed over) you and other teachers left in the system would be out of a job. The plan of the city all along is to privatize the industry, make receiving of getting future benefits all but impossible. So when the NYC DOE does end, then and only then, will you truly realize that karma is indeed a bitch.
What planet are you from? Talk about delusional! I guess enslavement and the resultant rebellion of the Civil Rights Movement was a gift from white people. You need to stop using that crystal meth. (I should not have replied to this nonsense as it is deliberate trolling, but because of the numerous racists that post here, I could not resist. They are entertaining though.)
Karma is not about "sticking it to anyone." It's about "reaping what you sow." Sucks to you doesn't it. The universe is the ultimate balance. Do I sense fear in your response?
Point of information: the union supports Carranza's racial ("equity") program.
No fear I’ll be retired collecting my well earned pension and huge tda while you have to deal with the continued ramifications of radical progressive racial policies. Good luck my friend
Another point of information. The Congress that passed the civil rights acts Of the 60s was 99% white.
To 10:59: I am white, and I never oppressed any non-white person in my life, neither did my parents or grandparents etc.
Why do I need to be karma-ed?
I am writing to express my disapproval for equity training and other so-called "social improvement" concepts which are poorly conceived and accomplish nothing. This training assumes that people like me need to be rehabilitated
I am sick and tired of this. I am a white woman who grew up poor and worked my ass off each grade in school to get a full scholarship to a top college, where I continued to work hard, and now I am a teacher in NYC schools who works works tirelessly each day. I have had zero privilege that I haven't earned through the sweat of my brow and I humbly EARNED what I have accomplished. I am a not racist or biased. I don't need to be trained to feel empathy for people who struggle: I have tasted struggle acutely and I too have experienced biases for things other than the color of my skin as well as for the color of my skin...and did I mention that I am caucasian?
How about the "equity" exercises today where were asked to go into the schoolyard and reveal answers to very personal questions such as: did your parents loose their job when you were a child. Step backward if you went to bed hungry, were you ashamed of your car...what business is it of the department of education to ask me to reveal the answers to such personal questions to my peers? It was embarrassing and for many people brought up past traumas, no doubt. Are we entering into the realm of a therapy? W
Why doesn't the union speak up about this?
@4:40 am...it is an entertaining site. Group of cowards pretending to be teachers or rational adults. I could give 1/2 a rats azz if you post it, oh little simpleton. It is your rancid sandbox. Go Carranza, do a Donald and drain the swamp. Rofl
The ultimate disintegration of a system that allowed black students to run amok and cause utter chaos has all but pushed what ever remnants of academics out the window. Now we are all supposed to embrace the black kid who acts out and makes our life and the lives of their fellow students a living hell. To me if a kid is an a$&;?"e he is an a$&;?e. To 10:59 you can walk around in your Kinte cloth outfit and talk about sticking it to "whitey" but you in fact are the uneducated racist. Good luck to you, hope you have a job in 5 years.....
Oh give me a break. They fact that that Congress was majority white did does not mean that they gave Black people a gift. They bowed to pressure due to years of protests by majority black people and some support from SOME whites who joined the movement. Prior to MLK and other black organizations, the majority of white people could not give a damn about black people. Explain white love shown by Jim Crow era, lynching by whites so pervasive that they now have museum that memorializes the mass legal lynching of blacks, Emmett Till, a little boy brutally killed by by a mob of white men who claimed he whisteled at a white woman and it was recently discovered that she LIED about the whole incident and Emmett was killed for nothing. And this is just a few examples. Please, do you need a course on American history regarding treatment of Black people in this country? I suggest you do some research before you try to support the farce that white people loved us so much that they gave us rights so we would no longer be legally sub-human. White government in USA did not do anything freely. They succumbed to pressure by black leadership through protest for our rights and through legal action. You insult MLK, Rosa Parks, and all other leaders who fought for our rights by indicating it was a gift from whites. You should be ashamed of yourself.
I retire in 3 years so your point is??? I am Black and been dealing with radical racial policies all my life, none of which were good. You think you have something better than me?That's the issue always isn't it. Better than everyone. NOT!
Read, the post say MANY white people, not ALL white people. If you have been wonderful karma will return "wonderful" to you.
I retire in 3 years so I won't be around in 5. Thanks for the loving wishes. By the way, why do you hate kinte cloth? It is a product of Africans in Ghana. You have a problem with Africans?
Equality training what a f"&@ing joke. These kids have been allowed to treat their teachers like s;,t for such a long time now that this has become the norm. If a "white teacher" dare screams at a black student for being a disruption to his peers he/she is deemed a racist. The ironic thing is thT many of these same white liberals supported Obama and his administration that in my opinion was racially decisive. Now we have a mayor with a militant black/lesbian wife (who has incompetently run a disaster of a mental health program) and an equally incompetent school's chancellor and union leader.
This is by far the most dysfunction the NYC DOE has ever Benin. God help the white teachers (conservative/liberal) you have a target on your backs. If all goes bad blame yourself and the other liberal idiots who supported the administration that now exists.

What is you issue with "white people" anyway? Do you blame your life's problems on the white man? I've been hearing this for so long it makes me laugh. What advantages do you suggest I had. Paying my full way through college and paying student loan debt for 10 plus years at 7 1/2% while you probably got a free ride with the other black students that majored in useless majors like African American Studies, poetry, etc. The only advantage I can think of is that I had a father that was home while 75% of black mothers have children out of wedlock. Perhaps if these young mothers didn't have babies at a young age or if the government didn't give assistance or free section 8 apartments your people wouldn't be so F$@&ed up...
You reveal yourself, trying to insult me when you know nothing about me. What basis are you using to make negative assumptions? You only know my race and I am probably a teacher about to retire. You hatred of blacks within you is very telling and obvious. For your info, I will tell you a little about me just to bust your obvious attempt to try to insult me. I paid my own way through undergrad with my own money. I worked full time at a law firm while going to school. I graduated magna cum laude with a 3.74 grade point average. I did not take out any loans as I went to a Cuny college and could pay my own tuition. Wanting a career change, (I was a paralegal) I decided to become a teacher. I completed my masters in adolescent education at Pace University. I graduated from Pace with a grade point average of 3.87. Pace was very, very expensive so I took out loans to pay for my degree which cost over $25,000. I was smart enough, unlike you, to consolidate my loans at an interest rate of 3.25%. I received no scholarships or grants, or programs. I am not a teaching fellow or other similar. I earned my master's from Pace through hard work and sacrifice. I was lucky to complete my student teaching without having to quit my job as I was able to do it in the evening at Manhattan Comprehensive Day and Night HS. So I worked full time and completed my master's at the same time. Upon graduation, I went to a NYC career fair and was hired by a school. The rest is history. So, therefore you can take your stereotypes about black teachers and shove it where the sun don't shine. YOU are not qualified to insult me. Racists like you make me laugh. You all say the same lame things, blacks are bad, blah, blah. The problem I have with some white people is people like you with your racist, black hating bullshit. You need to take those anti bias workshops Carenza is doing.
@7:27...hip hip hooray for you. The opinion of these pathetic beings, mean as much to me as a fly landing on my desk--flick it away. The 1% don't give a rats tale about them either. Some folks just have to believe they are the cats meow when in essence they really are cowards who play tough on a blog. Again, post it or not, Idk Chazzy Wazzy.
I have sat through 3 full-day workshops on anti-bias training. The only thing I learned is how much animosity there is toward white people and men, especially straight men. Was this training meant to get me to drink the Kool-aid and hate white people, too?
I am not sure why the NYC DOE thinks it is acceptable to spend $23,000,000 of taxpayer money to teach people to hate, create division, and push an obviously bias agenda. How ironic! This could have been a chapter in 1984!
Response to 7:27 pm
I applaud you. We teachers black, brown, purple , white, etc. All went through the training and education. Keep up the great work. You are a role model for the black community.
I'm about to retire in 3 weeks. I sincerely hope there are more people like you coming into education. That is what is needed and wished for.
Unfortunately you are a one of the few.
How can teachers of color be recruited when there are so few available.
That's one issue.
The other is the attitude of the community. Fatherless kids have the disadvantage from birth. Lets agree that it all begins in the home.
I've worked with at risk teens all of my career. They have too much to contend with.. They learned to survive without a solid family structure. Chaos and famine doesn't help either.
Band together to fix the community instead of the blame game.
Teaching is a beautiful thing when students respond. A lot of kids don't see a future in learning to better their lives. And our drive slows down when we as teachers are constantly confronted with class clowns and disruption. Its like talking to the trees so often.
Since the recession and Bloomberg , teachers are the scapegoat for the failure. The chancellors all try some absurd attempt to get better results. Every race and culture has risen. Some more and some less. This is America.
Lets have more role models in educated fields. Not just the entertainers and athletes.
July first retired. 30 years.
NYC
To the sjw above who cited the Emmet Till case: I thought that, a la Christine Blasey Ford, that we must "believe" all accusations against any male. No? Well which is it?
There is something 'Mein Kampf' like in all this official talk about how white people are the scourge of the country.
Three day (!) workshops? You've heard of the buyout. This no doubt is the drive-out.
Yet, outside of the NY Post and an op-ed contributor to Newsday, no one will speak up on our behalf. What kind of society have we become?
