Funny how that works.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20674128.post-83022286988948207182017-03-11T18:53:27.551-05:002017-03-11T18:53:27.551-05:00Students need and want rules. It also lets them know there are ramifications for criminal behavior once they enter society. There needs to be a middle ground between severe discipline and nothing at all. Charter schools use discipline, sometimes severe, http://www.alternet.org/education/profit-schools-prison Bronx ATRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08787717237141454628noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20674128.post-34320958264113194302017-03-11T07:55:28.121-05:002017-03-11T07:55:28.121-05:00My school got on the "persistently dangerous ...My school got on the "persistently dangerous schools" list a few years ago because we were told to fill out incident reports for every single thing we saw. Now we hardly report anything even though things are still happening. But guess what? We are no longer on the "persistently dangerous schools" list anymore!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20674128.post-37860907266308531562017-03-10T21:42:51.084-05:002017-03-10T21:42:51.084-05:00I work in one of the so called "better"...I work in one of the so called "better" schools and the tone of the school has really nosedived. Detentions and suspensions are practically non existent and the kids all know it. What a joke. No wonder why so many kids can't function after high school. They are learning there are absolutely no consequences for their behavior. I can't even imagine what it's like in a average or bad school.
