ATRs. How To Find Your First Placement.
Yesterday, ATRs received an e-mail notification that on September 4th, they will receive their school placement. However, the DOE has already placed all ATRs and you can find your placement by doing the following.
Go to or Google the DOE SESIS login page. Type in your ID and password like you do for your DOE e-mail account. Once you are in, scroll up to the top of the page and look to the upper right hand corner. You should see your name and the school you are assigned to.
During the school year, the ATR placement on the SESIS page is updated a day before the ATR is informed by e-mail or listed in the current status page and while the other sources inform the ATR on Thursday, the SESIS page usually is updated Wednesday.
Good luck on another school year and stay clear of those ATR field supervisors (assassins). Just a reminder, the DOE very occasionally will change your placement by the first day so please continue to monitor your DOE e-mail.
News that's like a kick in the groin! I'm not looking until Labor Day!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this information.
ReplyDeleteIt's the same as June. Can I really be assigned to the same school?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. Why doesn't the union give us this information? More importantly, why does the u8nion continually keep us in the dark?
ReplyDeleteHey union leaders? How about ridding us of these disgusting field supervisors?
Why are ATRS having to go through the SESIS program to find their placement? This is the special education program to keep track of special education paperwork. Is this because there is no ARIS. This first time I have heard of this as an ATR.

ReplyDeleteThat's because SESIS cost 72 million dollars and the DOE needed to add other uses to justify the cost.
I'm not an ATR but have plenty of friends who are in this unfortunate circumstance. My principal (Bronx high school) has refused to hire any ATR's but is hiring new fresh blood straight outta college with no experience. The union is disgusting for allowing this. How can people be getting hired before ATR's? This is terrible!
ReplyDeleteSESIS is not to "keep track of SPED paperwork". It is a database for all teachers to be able to ACCESS the "paperwork" so that they can properly differentiate for their ISS students needs as delineated on their IEPs. All teacher log-ins and searches and input of data (if you have that authorization) are kept track of. [Remember when the contract was signed and the SPED teachers all got bonuses for after-hours SESIS log-ins?] Every classroom teacher is required to read the IEPs of each of their students early in the school year. It just so happens that SESIS updates rosters earlier than the city-run servers.
ReplyDeleteESSS says that I am excessed and my assignment is still in progress. I logged into SESIS and found my placement, but I did not receive and email about September 4th. Is there anyone else who missed the memo?
