Regents Officially Cancelled This June
The NYSED has officially cancelled the high school Regents exams on Tuesday and we give school districts flexibility how to evaluate teachers Here. For high achieving students this is not a problem since they took all their Regents before their senior year but for many New York City students they still must take their Regents exams in their senior year and cancelling the Regents obviously affects low achieving studentsdisproportionally, especially minority students.
It now appears that if schools open at all, it wouldn't be to Mid May at the earliest. My best guess is that schools will probably open after Memorial day weekend.
Schools are opening before Memorial day Weekend! May 4th, maybe May 11th the latest! You totally disregard the need for the almighty dollar. You can't "open the economy," if you don't open the schools. Student and staff safety be damned!
ReplyDeleteThese are extra ordinary circumstances! If students were passing all grad requirements and missing regents they will graduate.
ReplyDeleteStudents who were on track for advanced regents will get the advanced regents.
This is the only correct response for the senior class!
Graduate them ALL. Free for ALL. First time in NY City history we will have 100 percent graduation. Bonuses for us all. Congratulations my friends. Mulgrew you really blew it. Your indecisiveness asskicking to your incompetent friend DeBlasio exposed us to more coronavirus than needed it.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, next time you take a step back and let real UFT people who care about teachers take the lead. It is okay to say "look I am dumb and incompetent and can't go against my friend Bill." We would have understood. But to keep us working and getting exposed you also have blood and murder on your hands. Hopefully you and Bill can enjoy having drinks together.
Glad to see the principal union president take a stand and call for schools to immediately close. That is a leader. Someone who cares and understands. Puts feelings aside and makes decisions.
Deblasio incompetent idiot.
I miss afternoon prof development at Bryant....watching Dwarkas fat ass and tree trunk legs wrapped in her polyester leisure suit in front of 100 snickering teachers.
ReplyDelete@3:03 In this time of global pandemic and you're still obsessed with Dwarka. What is wrong with you? Don't you have anything better to do than shitpost about this principal? You realize constantly posting about her in posts that are totally unrelated does literally nothing to hurt her right? It just makes you seem like some pathetic loser obsessed with her.
ReplyDeleteMaybe dwarka caused the pandemic
