Maspeth High School In The News Again
Maspeth high school which has been identified for a massive cheating scandal, finds itself in the New York Post as a Dean and Math teacher was quietly removed from the school in December. The teacher was identified by the New York Post as Danny Sepulveda. According to the DOE, Mr. Sepulveda was removed for reasons unrelated to the academic fraud at the school.
According to the article by Susan Edelman, Mr. Sepulveda was identified as one of the teachers that supplied students with answers to the Regents. He was alleged to have sent a text message to another teacher and wrote the following:
“Having someone fail and not graduate HS because of a state exam that colleges never look at is more of a failure than anything else. I look at state tests as the anti-christ,” Sepulveda wrote.
In the Maspeth cheating scandal no administrators have been punished so far and no teachers who were identified as part of the cheating scandal were removed. One would think the DOE has basically closed their collective eyes to the academic fraud at Maspeth high school and the many other schools in New York City In fact, the FBI has started an investigation on the widespread academic fraud of the NYC school system as OSI and SCI has failed to seriously investigate the academic fraud issue

Namita Dwarka.....did you read this? Its just a matter of time girl, just a matter of time.
ReplyDeleteDwarka gets away with everything because the corrupt DOE lawyers and investigators let her get away with everything.
DeleteThe question now is who squeals first to the federal investigation: the teachers or the administrators? This is about to spiral out of control.
ReplyDeleteWhen the FBI went after the mob with the RICO act in the 80s it was said - the first to squeal gets the best plea deal.
About time. Maybe we will see justice for our students and those of us who spoke up and out but received a kick in the azz for our efforts. I hope they contact me.
ReplyDeleteSpring Creek Community School in East New York had a 100% passing rate for their first graduating class in 2018-2019. Any school with a hundred percent passing rate should be investigated. The early morning credit recovery classes and Admin pressure is why they got their 100% passing rate. These graduates cannot read or even write a coherent paragraph. The valedictorian of that class has already dropped out of college. I'll name the school but not myself because targeting will happen. C'mon everyone spill the beans on your school and lets see if the FBI shows up.
ReplyDelete@12:05 pm...agree
DeleteHey Dwarka, what size orange jump suit do you wear?
ReplyDeleteA lot of corruption while the UFT does nothing like always.
DeleteHey Dwarka, what size prison jump suit will fit your fat ass?
ReplyDeleteI am not convinced that anything will change.
ReplyDeleteFrom the Mayor down to the administrators, they don't think they are doing anything illegal,
wrong or immoral. Everyone will point fingers and say they were just following orders.
Bloomberg has more than enough money to make sure none of this scandal ever reaches him or his cronies.
This is called shit hitting the fan
ReplyDeleteand the fan is blowing toward teachers.
ReplyDeleteI see it as a choice between the stress and anxiety of whistle blowing or stress and anxiety from administrative retaliation; which can be accomplished within the contract.
Next thing you will read is that he was given a raise and a promotion. He now
ReplyDeleteteaches other teachers how to cheat. AKA ANNA POOLE.
Antibias
ReplyDeleteImplicit bias trading is beginning now. Lets sound off on this topic. Teachers are mandated to go on weekends if training fills up during the week.
Carranza has to go away
Great post. I was once checking constantly this weblog and I'm impressed! Extremely useful information specially the closing part. I maintain such information much. I was once seeking this specific information for a very long time. Many thanks and best of luck.
ReplyDeletePlay School admission Pataudi
5:56PM
ReplyDeleteDid your school tell you that? I'm an ATR and I asked the admin if I had to go on weekends. The AP said "Of course not, Saturday is a rugby day!" (They know I play rugby). Then re-assured me I could go during school time.
The whistleblowers at SCI have offered incontrovertible evidence that OSI and SCI are not fair or unbiased, and they clearly have an agenda. Of course this is nothing we didn't already know, but we now have proof that any allegation against a teacher that is substantiated cannot be assumed to be credible. Bear in mind that the term "substantiated" is not based on any legal standard of proof. All it represents is the (usually biased) opinion of one investigator.
ReplyDeleteSupposed to get per-session pay if you go to implicit bias training on a weekend. Do as the students do; go with air pods and phone.
ReplyDeleteShit is not hitting the fan. My principal was told to remain calm and not say anything. She was also instructed to keep cheating.
ReplyDeleteCheating is academic fraud and those found to have cheated should be terminated!
ReplyDeleteBut that is never the case. They like to keep corrupt Principals like Dwarka.
