ATR Assignments Are On SESIS

Thanks to a comment on my previous post I checked the DOE's SESIS page and sure enough, the September assignment was listed under my name.

To access SESIS is easy.  First, google SESIS and the SISES-Department Of Education will appear.  Next, type in User ID (check the picture above).  Finally, once you login, look at the upper right hand corner of the SESIS page and next to your name is the school you are assigned to in September

Good luck and I hope you get a school that appreciates you.

Be careful I did that a couple of years ago and saw what I thought was going to be my Sept. assignment but on Labor Day weekend it was a different assignment through my email. SESIS is not a reliable source. Your email is the best source although it comes only a week to days in advance.

DOE says email is the final word on ATR assignments!

Does it list if you have a "Problem Code" next to your name? ("Problem Code" is listed next to names of teachers who have been in the rubber room or had a 3020a case against them brought up)

Thank GOD for these Renewal Schools. I just received my per session stub and hit 26K thus far and it's not even September. Remember, "There is Opportunity in Chaos".

Can you just apply for the cash or do you have to work for it? Off the books? Sounds awesome, let me know.

Everyone needs to read Charlotte Danielsons on-target editorial of how her rubric/theory has been bastardized to get rid od senior teachers (eduweek Aug 22, 2017)

Chaz...run with this!

Thank you Charlotte!

On payroll portal doesn't it state problem for all teachers under salary history? It was my understanding that this was the case.

Yeah, I got mine too. I'm going out to get drunk on some hard lemonade and watch some hardcore porn. Only kidding - Chalkbeat, Post, Daily News, WSJ and Cambell Brown.

There may be another round of teachers going out the end of October after the retro. I'm retiring July 1, 2018 so I'll be doing some OJR, on job retirement this year. Do not give a shit about Danielson, ratings, etc

@ 10:17 I bought into the 25/55 option years back, I will be one of the ATR's retiring in October of this year. What the DOE has done to us really is criminal. I will be praying for all of my fellow Colleagues! I wish you all of the best always :-)

The Renewal school comment above is true. I wasn't going o comment but reading that made me laugh. I hit over 20K so far. The Renewal schools are amazing for per session. Never seen anything like it. The worst scenario could be that we get removed from this label and become a regular school. Then the budget would diminish by millions.

For those commenting on Renewals and the per session bonanza - it is totally true. I am a regular staff member in such a school that has made great progress, (because of all the undeserved passings we do to keep from getting in trouble with the admins,) and I can tell you, last year I made over 10k in per session, and this year I may actually get to 20k. No joke.

Hey 2:11 thank you for your prayers. Some people on this blog are sadistic towards others who are still in the game. We can't all go out at the same time for different reasons, age, years, retro at stake, finances. It's bad enough that we aren't getting any kind words from where we work, so how about a little cheerleading from those who are leaving or left us behind. We are all in this together let's not be cut throat with each other. Thanks

@10:38PM - No one is sadistic and no one wishes ill on anyone.

Chaz, do you know if ATRs must interview at schools outside of their borough? I have always taught in Manhattan high schools but am now being contacted by HS in The Bronx.

WS:

You do not need to go on any interview outside your Borough.

That's what I thought--thank you!
