Unity Caucus Oath Pledge Exposed!

This just in.  The secretive Unity caucus oath has finally been reveled and must be memorized by all preferred Unity members if they want those high paying union positions, double pensions, and all expense paid travel to cities throughout the country.  The Unity oath pledge goes as follows:

"I pledge allegiance to the Unity caucus and will always vote for issues the way the union leadership directs me to, even when the issues are detrimental to the interests of the rank and file.  If I fail to vote as directed by our union leaders I will be excommunicated and lose all the perks and privileges afforded me by the Unity caucus.

I also pledge to keep my opinions to myself and not leak out any information, confidential or not, to the rank and file. As whistileblowing will result in automatic excommunication from the Unity caucus and revocation of all benefits awarded to Unity caucus members.

Finally, I pledge to defend the union and the leadership positions at all protests, conventions, and committees, even when it runs counter to the members concerns"

Of course there may not really be a Unity oath pledge but if there is one it would very much resemble my best guess of what it would be.

962 out of 1100 ATRs are eligible to retire, the rest can resign. 87.4% of ATRs are 55 years or older.

Where did you get that?

Where did you get that info? UFT tries to keep info on ATRS TOP SECRET!!! Not sure I agree with your stats.

Michael Mulgrew claimed thoes numbers at last night's DA. How true they are is anybody's guess.

The real reason that the Buyout is not pensionable is that the UFT is hiding the ATR demographics. Releasing the ATR age and service data is a huge legal liability for the UFT/ DOE axis of educational disengagement.

Mulgrew gets an extra thousand per his kick from city hall for every atr that leaves so he has to make it look good.

I don't think Michael Mulgrew realized the damage he did by blurting out the ATR eligibility numbers which shows that the vast majority of ATRs are 55 and over. Moreover, notice Mulgrew claimed 962 out of 1,100 ATRs can take the buyouts or 88%. Most importantly, notice Mulgrew used the number 1,100 for ATRs not the 822 the UFT and DOE told the media.

Many folks are eligible to retire. How many have the necessary 30/55 required to immediately collect an unpenalized pension?

Chaz,

Two part question.
1). Why do you think mulgrew damaged himself by blurring out atr numbers? I believe everything he says to be a lie.

2). What are the penalties for collecting an early pension?

Also thank you for the great posts!

This site and ice uft are where I get all my information from.

The uft rep in my school won't even ask for coverages for disciplinary meetings w teachers.

In many schools where most experienced teachers were pushed out they are suffering by a high turnover, regents scores plummeting, harassment and easy passes. Just the opposite what we need to do. Those in charge should be ashamed.
